SIGN FRIENDS (c) 1990
Program and Documentation
by
Fran O'Gorman
Enclosed please find the most recent version of Sign Friends.
Due to an attempt to coordinate the relative speeds of animation
according to the various machines that are now available, it is
possible that the last version you received, might have had some
problems which have since been resolved.
You will further note that Sign Friends has been compressed
into four executable files. The purpose of this is so as to
allow a user with a floppy system to extract onto four disks,
thus avoiding space problems. This can be done by simply, from
the a: prompt (with this disk in the a: drive and a formatted disk
which should be labeled SIGN1 in b:) typing:
SIGN37-1.EXE B: and pressing <ENTER>.
When the files have extracted to that disk, another blank
formatted disk labeled SIGN2 should be placed in the b: drive and
then the user should type:
SIGN37-2.EXE B: and press <ENTER>.
This same procedure should be done with the 3rd file and a
3rd disk labeled SIGN3 typing:
SIGN37-3.EXE B: <ENTER>
This same procedure should be done with the 4th file and a
4th disk labeled SIGN4 typing:
SIGN37-4.EXE B: <ENTER>
GWBASIC.EXE or BASICA.COM should be copied to the first disk.
The user need only from the DOS prompt type RUN and enter and Sign
Friends will begin. The user is prompted to remove the first disk
when the 2nd disk is needed. Obviously if the user has a hard
drive, simply having all the files and basica or gwbasic present
is all that is necessary and pressing a key to continue is all
he/she need do. Further documentation can be provided if
necessary, regarding this.
Thank you.
